any out there?.
if so i have a problem.
i'm trying to listen to a live 365 station, but after about an hour, it stops what i am doing, opens the live 365 window and cuts out the station.
not sure why...
I don't know if this will help but:
Streaming servers check to see if to many listeners are on. When to many are on, the server (shoutcast) finds that one who has been connected the longist and kicks them off to make room, giving others a chance.
At least, this is my understanding.
hey are you listening through the website or winamp. I use winamp and it works fine.
I use windows media player with the site and have no problems
I hope this explains why valhalla is having trouble listening. Live365 pays royalties for each track they play, so they need to make sure you're still listening so they are not streaming into dead air. However, you can press the continue button located in the player window after the station is cut out, and you can resume listening. Hope this helps!
hmmm, thanks chicago!. and hmmm, out of interest, how can i use the windows media player with live 365, with out having to listen through the site?
In windows media player, press control+U and type in the URL for the station. That should work.
thank you, i so have to try it now
hmmm, so i go to listen to the station, but can't get the U R L. goes to the player window with out tellig me what it is.... anyone help?
